slate dividing walls were moulded providing low level seating and high level shelving and creating a series of individual seating areas.  a walnut clad enclosed space containing four booths created further opportunities for more intimate interaction.  the bar servery was defined as a monolithic slate element providing a subtle foil to the rich and varied composition of the gantry wall, where a random composition of glass and mahogany shelving on a ruby red wall creates a vibrant backdrop for the glistening stacks of deep red wine and the brightly coloured gem-like liqueurs.   a variety of furniture types - high stools, free standing café tables and chairs, tub chairs and low-level banquette seats - add to this feeling of permitted diversity.

american black walnut, mahogany, green slate and leather were among the limited palette chosen to reflect this feeling of refinement.  the robust nature of the materials keeps maintenance to a minimum and provides an environment that will improve with age.
