materials and components were chosen to reflect the original working nature of the property through a contemporary idiom.  throughout the scheme, utilitarian elements such as the slate and timber flooring, stone walls and steel coil radiators are juxtaposed with more refined contemporary features: black polished granite bar and vanity tops, almond veneer bar fascia and low relief plaster panels.   the atmosphere thus created is a delicate fusion of the elegant and the industrial, and provides an ideal centre for edinburgh’s  young professionals to mix and relax.
