Our 2 Edinburgh’s projects were shortlisted at this year’s Northern Design Awards: The Beer Kitchen in Restaurant and Bar category and 53-57 Queen Street in Residential Conversion category. We are looking forward to the celebration at the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds on Friday 11 November where the winners will be announced.
Kinnear Road Development Nears Completion

As this project nears completion, the contractor is putting the finishing touches to the last three refurbishment flats as well as laying the lawns and landscape planting. We are delighted that new residents have been moving in as fast as the apartments have been completed and we hope they enjoy the long summer evenings ahead in this peaceful location with stunning views over Inverleith Park to the dramatic city skyline.

Advocate’s Close wins “the overall, highly esteemed, Project of the Year which is awarded to the entry judged to have scored the highest against a strict set of criteria“ (as described on the RICS website) as well as the Regeneration Award, which honours exceptional improvements to urban, rural or coastal areas which have contributed to the viability of the area. Our development was also highly commended in both the Commercial and Tourism and Leisure categories at the RICS Scotland Awards 2015 Ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh.
Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Scotland judging panel, Colin Smith, said: “Retaining and regenerating all of the existing buildings and restoring historical building forms resulted in a development which fits well within its impressive surroundings, whilst the contemporary additions are sensitive to the historical elements.“
