As this project nears completion, the contractor is putting the finishing touches to the last three refurbishment flats as well as laying the lawns and landscape planting. We are delighted that new residents have been moving in as fast as the apartments have been completed and we hope they enjoy the long summer evenings ahead in this peaceful location with stunning views over Inverleith Park to the dramatic city skyline.

Kinnear Road Submitted For Planning
Posted on February 1, 2014 by admin
The planning application for the proposed refurbishment of two grade B listed former Edinburgh Academy boarding houses and new build residential blocks on Kinnear Road has been submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council. The development comprises the refurbishment of MacKenzie House (pictured) and the eastern half of Scott House, with 2 newly proposed 4 storey residential buildings between the existing structures.
Both of the former boarding houses, built around the turn of the 20th century, have private gardens overlooking extensive recreation grounds and parkland to the south, and will be provided with off street parking. The new buildings have been designed to achieve a sympathetic scale and use of materials to the existing houses. The development will contain a total of 8 flats and 2 townhouses across the 4 separate buildings.
